Hey makeup junkees! I made a live (eek! my first one) tutorial on how to depot MAC eyeshadows using a flatiron. It's a super quick and easy way to depot them. I depot my eyeshadows so I can put them in my MAC palettes that hold 15 and makes it easier to keep them organized. Hope you guys enjoy!

Lashes...Lashes...Lashes

Every woman wishes they had thick, long, lashes, I know I do! haha ...And lets be honest Mascara can only do so much. Some eyelash growth serums really do work but the downside is that once you stop using them your lashes return to their normal length. So I use the next best thing: FALSE EYELASHES. They are my new favorite makeup accessory! So I thought I'd share some information about falsies and the different types for different eyes. I love Ardell lashes. They have a HUGE variety of lashes to choose from and lashes for every eye shape. I have been using false lashes for about a year and love love love em. I get a lot of compliments too! Sure they are tricky to apply but like with everything else it just takes PRACTICE! People can never tell when I'm wearing false lashes in fact they always ask me what kind of mascara I use to make my lashes look so long lol. So here are some tips about lashes and how to apply, and care for them.
FIT: Always make sure to fit your lashes to your eyes. If they are too big cut the shorter lashes at the front.
GLUE. There are two types of adhesive. There is clear, which is just that, clear . And there is a dark glue which dries almost black so that it blends in with makeup/eyeliner. When applying glue to the lashes make sure that you apply enough so that they stay on longer and apply more at the ends as this is the first part of the lash that comes loose. Also apply the glue to the lash with a toothpick or cotton swab, this helps you control how much glue is applied to the lashes.

APPLYING LASHES: Once you have applied the glue to your lashes, DON'T put them on right away. Let the glue get tacky because when you apply the lashes with wet glue they slide around making it harder to have any control. Once the glue has become tacky, place the lashes as close as you can to your lash line and press the lashes down with the handle of a makeup brush or handle of tweezers. Don't use your fingers, because sometimes the glue makes em stick to your falsies
CARING FOR YOUR LASHES
Caring for your lashes is easy if you just follow these simple steps. Always make sure to clean your lashes if you have added mascara and make sure to wash off the glue. Use makeup remover and be gentle. Always store them back in their lash try so they keep their shape. Lashes can last you a long time if you don't add mascara to them as well. Put mascara on your natural lashes and then apply false lashes after. If you place them close to the lash line they WILL blend in with your natural lashes.

WHAT LASHES ARE BEST FOR YOU?
If you have small eyes, you want to really open them up, you want a dramatic eye that's not too overbearing. Try Ardell Fashionlashes 109/110 or the Invisibands Sweeties/Babies.
For large eyes add some volume with Fashion 105 and Invisibands Hotties,Wispies, and Lacies.
Round eyes should try Fashion 109 or Invisibands Beauties.
Almond shape eyes can just about wear any kind of lashes but Invisibands Demi Pixies, and Luckies will make them look super hot.
Deep-Set/Hooded eyes can get away with a thicker, heavier lash like Fashion 131 or Invisbands Wispies/Demi Wispies.
That's not to say you can't try other types of lashes but these are the ones that will really make your eyes POP. When in doubt or if you're trying on lashes for the first time try Ardell 110. It's the universal lashes that will look good on ANY eye shape.
MY FAVORITES
I love the Fashion Lashes 110 for a natural day look. They are my go to lashes. These are super cute and add a little bit of volume and length. They are perfect for adding subtle changes to your lashes.
For a more dramatic look I use the Demi Wispies. These add a good amount of volume, and length, perfect with a subtle smokey eye.
Demi Pixies are another one of my favorites they add natural length thickness and can be worn either day or night and look amazing .
Hope this helped. If you have any questions, feel free to email/message me :)

ULTA SALE TIME!
ULTA IS HAVING A GREAT SALE! I love sales on makeup, so I was happy when I saw that Ulta is having a sale on certain brands, like Maybelline, LOreal, NYX and a few more. Right now it is buy 2 get 1 FREE. And you can mix and match as well. Sales like these are a great way to stock up on makeup AND try new makeup. I like to buy mascaras that way I can try a bunch of them since I am picky about mascara and am constantly changing brands and formulas. I bought a few things from NYX, a new line I've been testing out, I will post another entry about all the makeup goodies I bought over the weekend with my birthday money (yay!) and some reviews on those products as well...

Cloudy Gray Nails...
I just picked up a nail polish Sephora by OPI. And like anyone else who wears nails polish knows that OPI is incredible and has the most amazing colors and collections. So when I was looking for something else to buy so that I could use my gift card I went for nail polish and fell in love with METRO CHIC. I have been looking for a gray nail polish like this for a while now. I love that it's not insanely dark where you can't even tell what color it is but that it's not too light either. This is my new favorite color now and everyone needs to pick it up asap lol. They are a little pricey at $9 but well worth it.
You Probably Think This Blog Is About You...
Well it is..sorta hahaha. This is basically my beauty blog where I will be talking about everything beauty including tutorials :) I LOVE LOVE LOVE makeup, it is my biggest obsession and something I am extremely passionate about. I've been 'playing' with makeup for a long time. As a little girl I used to go through my moms makeup and play with it despite that I knew she'd get mad when she would find a mess or her eyeshadows missing. I hope to one day work in the world of makeup but until I get my big break I will play with it as much as I can :)
This blog will have tutorials, reviews, pictures and MY opinions on all things makeup related. I try my best to try out new products, find great sales and give my most honest opinions on some stuff out there. I would love to hear lots of feedback as well as requests from everyone! Of course any negative feedback is not needed and will be deleted :) Let's try to keep this blog drama free and positive.
I hope you guys enjoy my beauty blog as I begin to fill it with countless information and thanks for joining me on my new beauty blog journey!
